There’s a unique mountain range in Utah—the only one in the contiguous United States that runs east to west. It boasts Utah’s highest peak, Kings Peak, at 13,528 feet, and is part of the vast Rocky Mountain chain stretching from Canada to Texas. With more than a thousand natural lakes and over 400 miles of streams, the Uinta Mountains are alive with breathtaking beauty and abundant wildlife.

As I was developing the essential oil blend for this soap, I knew it had to capture the spirit of the outdoors—the soul of the adventurer, the altitude seeker, the one who feels most alive beneath tall pines and endless skies. I wanted a scent that embodied that perfect moment: standing in a high mountain meadow, the air crisp and clean, a gentle breeze stirring the spruce and quakies. You pause, breathe deeply, and there it is—that grounding, invigorating aroma of pine and earth that feels like home for those of us who love the wild.

I grew up in that world. My parents were outdoor enthusiasts, and I spent countless days exploring the Uinta Mountain range. The scent of pine and earth calms me still—maybe because it brings back so many loving memories of adventure and family. My father adored those mountains so much he named his best hunting dog after them—a golden retriever who could sniff out a duck even underwater. We grew up with her, exploring trails and lakes, always surrounded by that unmistakable mountain air.

So when I created this soap, there was only one name that fit—Uinta Wind. It carries the memory of the mountains and the scent of freedom in every bar.

Because alpine climates can be especially drying, I formulated Uinta Wind to be rich and nourishing. It’s super-fatted with Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Castor Oil, and Aloe Vera Butter to help prevent dryness and leave your skin feeling soft and hydrated. Organic sea kelp powder adds a boost of natural minerals and antioxidants to soothe, protect, and replenish skin exposed to sun, wind, and altitude.
