Canine Salve

A well researched beautiful blend of botanical oils safe for your pet. Use on paws, dry noses, and minor scrapes. Safe for dogs or pups that like to groom. I’ve spent more than 20 years in the military as a Medical Service Corps officer. I worked a lot with the the Veterinarians on a myriad of missions. I asked for their input and guidance as I began my research formulating this product. I was very surprised at all the botanical oils dogs should not consume. The list is long. Avocado oil, jojoba oil, Aloe Vera (yes, don’t use it!), Grapeseed oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Sunflower Oil, Macadamia Nut Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Tamanu Oil, and the list continues. If you are using any of these oils on your pups please stop.

This salve is unscented as dogs with their very keen sense of smell are quite sensitive to scents. Please consider your pet when using fragrance or essential oils in tea light burners, plug ins, or even a bowl of potpourri sitting atop a table looking pretty. If you consume marijuana of the smoking variety, it’s best done away from your dog as the smoke from marijuana can be harmful to canines.

The salve is creamy and feels very wonderful at touch. Lanolin and beeswax provides lasting staying power.
